Retired C&I engineer, Worked on Guided weapons, Rolls Royce and British Gas in my time. Took VR at 62, went to college and took an O level in Latin, then got talked into an A level in Classical Civilization, became college governor!!. I was the chairman of my Squash club for some years which was attached to a major Rugby club who asked me to look after their maintenance problems, which also grew to being the steward and licensee until I packed it in at 78. I have effectively been widowed twice, once after 40 years then again after 20. I am a vice president of one classical Greek society, and a member of an Egyptian interest society, as well as a national society. I am also a member of the National Trust. My family have long since grown and started their own families, I like traditional Jazz ,classical music, opera etc. My photograph (if shown) was taken about 4 year back on a rather boring cruise and most people seem to thing I am 70-ish. I enjoy short haul travel (when the virus allows) but not a great enthusiast for sitting on beaches. I like to wander round a boot sale now and then. I like animals but no longer have any of my own, though one or two of my neighbours four cats seem to think they live with me quite a bit of the time. Have to say I miss female company and doing things on one's own is not a lot of fun so a local mature lady who might like to share my interests , and maybe introduce me to hers would be ideal. Apart from this I like all the usual things people mention, books, theatre ,cinema, computer, TV and radio etc. I still have a house and large-ish garden to maintain, quite good at gardening but no enthusiast. Right that's about it....what you see is what you get as the saying goes. Juvenals
